Basic Information
We are advertising and marketing professionals. The owner Mr. Chander Mohan Sharma is a highly qualified and experienced professional. Starting his working career in 1981 as a partner in M/S SHARMA BROTHERS, AMRITSAR, a small time manufacturing and retail selling workshop. Mr. Sharma learned the art of manufacturing Industrial Sewing Machines in family business. In 1984, he shifted to Ludhiana branch and started expanding the family business to different nooks and corners of India. Mr. Sharma was very fond of getting higher education, which he kept on getting even while working. He did Masters in Marketing Management with distinction, from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He also cleared COMPANY SECRETARY (INTER) to get better look into corporate culture. In 1989, he cleared CIVIL SERVICES MAIN EXAM as well. However, the six months he spent preparing for Civil Services Exams, cost him dearly, his lesser educated elder brothers - who were zealous of his success in both business and education - tried to cheat him and threw him out of family business in 1992. A business that was growing by leaps and bounds started a downward slide.Mr. Sharma was compelled to do priovate service. This also worked as a blessing in disguise for a learner at heart. He gained valuable hardcore marketing experience with companies like ESAB (institutional, industrial and project selling) and INFOCOM NETWORK LIMITED (Advertising). In 1995, Mr. Chander Mohan Sharma floated his first business venture as a Business Associate of INDIAN EXPRESS - AMBUJA ADVERTISING & MARKETING. The company achieved a business turnover of approx. 1 crore in its very first completed financial year - a big achievement for a person from lower middle class who started business without a single penny in pocket and no support from family. In 1998, Mr. Sharma started his own local English Newspaper CITY VIBES that is running successfully since then. But the good times were not to remain for long. His elder brothers grew very zealous of his success and their own sliding earnings. In 1999, Mr. Charanjeev Sharma, the eldest brother, compelled an ageing and disease pron father, Mr. Suraj Kamal Sharma, to disinherit Mr. Sharma from the family property, most of which was earned through the hard work of Mr. Chander Mohan Sharma only. Though the father felt sorry immediately on his first meet with Mr. Chander Mohan and cancelled the disinheritance, the latter was so filled with the traditional feelings of family affection that he could never understand the ill plans of his brothers. The other brother Mr. Narinder Mohan had by now grown pessimistic with his failures and started drowning himself in liquor. He died in 2001 due to overdose of alcohal. By this time father had started showing signs of mental retardation and partial paralysis. The eldest brother just started grabbing what ever we had earned in the name of our father. Mr. Chander Mohan just kept mum so that his father may not feel that everything is lost for him. But this was costing him very dearly. He had to shut down his business in 2001. Spending on father's disease and bearing the every day financial and social cheatings by Mr. Charanjeev, he was again made to do private services. These mental tortures also caused him severe diseases like Heart Attack and Epillipsy. But still he was unable to understand that it is the hidden ill plans of Charanjeev Sharma that are causing all troubles in his life. He still loved his brother. In 2004 he again floated his company, AAKARSHAN MEDIA. Doing Advertising (for print and electronic media) and mareketing consultancy.
